Hannah Nuttall

Hannah  is the Co-Founder of Wizzard Coaching, she joins the coaching team as a professional athlete currently sponsored by New Balance and a member of the New Balance Manchester Team.

As a talented junior, Hannah won the 3000m at English Schools before attending Loughborough University, where she completed her bachelors degree in Human Biology while being coached by her Dad, John Nuttall. After her time at Loughborough, Hannah accepted a scholarship to study and compete for the University of the New Mexico in the NCAA where she completed her Masters in Sport and Exercise Science. In 2022, Hannah worked for Public Health England as a family nutritionist and became a certified nutritionist with the British Dietetic Association. During this time, she also worked with elite athletes as a nutritionist consultant providing educational support to enhance health and performance.

In 2024, Hannah won the 5000m at the Olympic Trials/British Championships, came 2nd in 3000m at the British Indoor Championships and was 10th in the 5000m representing Great Britain at the European Championships in Rome. In 2025, Hannah won the 3000m at the British Indoor Championships and came 6th at the European Indoor Championships over 3000m. She boasts personal bests of 14:52.65 and 8:40.01 over 5000m and 3000m respectively

Co-Founder

James West

James is the Co-Founder of Wizzard Coaching. He joins the coaching team as a professional athlete currently sponsored by New Balance and a member of the New Balance Manchester Team. He attended Loughborough University where he was coached by the late George Gandy former coach to Sebastian Coe, before accepting a scholarship to study and compete for the University of Oregon in the NCAA. At Oregon he broke the 1500m school record and the indoor 1500m collegiate record. He has also competed for Great Britain multiple times, most notably coming 7th at the European Championships over 5000m in 2024 and 5th at the European Indoor Championships over 3000m. In 2023 & 2024, he also won the British Indoor 3000m title and Outdoor 5000m title.

In 2022, he worked as a volunteer endurance coach at the University of Oregon alongside head distance coach Ben Thomas assisting with the development of the men’s distance team. He has a real passion for coaching and hopes to inspire as many people in the sport as possible.

Co-Founder

Alison Wyeth, OLY

Alison joins the team with a plethora of knowledge of elite level running but also grass roots level with years of coaching experience.

Alison represented Great Britain at the Olympic Games in Barcelona 1992 and Atlanta 1996, as well as at three World Championships in 91, 93 & 95 finishing 5th in the 3000 metres at the 1993 World Championships.  She also won bronze in the 3000m at the 1994 Commonwealth Games.

After Alison’s running career ended she worked at British Athletics as the High Performance Director and National Performance Manager before becoming Project Manager for both the Delhi Commonwealth Games in 2010 and London Olympics in 2012. Alongside working at the elite end of the sport, she has also coached at the Charnwood athletics club as the middle distance and endurance coach for over 10 years supporting children of all ages to develop their athletics performance.
